01. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of all RelayForge, Inc. products, services, APIs, and platforms ("Services"), including FieldClaw, ClawHub, Anderson OS, Carapace Protocol, ARIA Registry, DAWES, and relayforge.tools. By using our Services, you agree to this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service.
We built RelayForge to make industrial AI safer and more accessible. This policy exists to protect the people using it, the people working near it, and the integrity of the platform.
✓ Allowed
- I&E field support with qualified human review
- Calibration assistance and record keeping
- Code lookups (NEC, OSHA, NFPA) as reference
- Training and educational use
- Agentic automation with human oversight
- BYOT with your own compliant API keys
- Building Clawmark-vetted tools for the registry
✗ Prohibited
- Using AI output as sole basis for safety decisions
- Bypassing LOTO or process safety procedures
- Submitting false data to Clawmark vetting
- Scraping, reverse engineering, or reselling
- Unauthorized access or credential sharing
- Generating harmful, illegal, or deceptive content
- Registering agents designed to deceive or harm
02. Industrial & Safety-Critical Use
RelayForge operates in environments where errors can injure people or damage equipment. These rules are non-negotiable:
- No autonomous safety decisions. AI outputs must not be the sole basis for any safety-critical action, including LOTO, arc flash clearance, pressure relief verification, SIS proof test acceptance, or permit-to-work authorization.
- No bypassing site safety management systems. You may not use RelayForge tools to circumvent, override, or substitute for your site's PSM program, LOTO procedures, or applicable regulatory requirements under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119, NFPA 70E, or IEC 61511.
- Qualified review required. A competent, qualified person must review all AI-generated outputs before they are acted upon in a live process or electrical environment.
- Do not misrepresent AI outputs. You may not present RelayForge AI outputs as certified engineering work, official compliance determinations, or regulatory approvals to employers, regulators, or clients.
We mean it. If we become aware that RelayForge tools are being used to bypass safety controls in a process facility, we will terminate the account immediately and may report the incident to the applicable regulatory authority.
03. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Services to:
Harm people or infrastructure:
- Generate content designed to facilitate physical harm, harassment, or violence
- Develop or deploy agents intended to attack, disrupt, or damage industrial control systems, SCADA, DCS, or other operational technology

- Deploy agents that operate without appropriate human oversight in safety-critical contexts
- Use BYOT credentials to route traffic to providers in violation of those providers' terms of service
- Register agents in the ARIA registry that are designed to harm, deceive, or surveil users without disclosure
04. Carapace Protocol & ARIA Registry Integrity
The trust value of Carapace and Clawmark depends entirely on honest participation. You agree to:
- Accurately represent your tool's capabilities, data handling, and behavior during vetting
- Notify RelayForge promptly if a vetted tool changes materially after certification
- Not transfer, sell, or misrepresent Carapace credentials issued to your agents
- Not attempt to register agents under false pretenses or bypass the vetting process
- Not use the ARIA registry to facilitate access to tools that violate this AUP
Clawmark vetting is based on the information you provide and our review at the time of submission. Fraudulent submissions may result in immediate decertification, account termination, and public notice of the decertification in the ARIA registry.
05. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of a violation of this AUP — including tools in the ARIA registry behaving contrary to their stated capabilities, or RelayForge Services being used to bypass industrial safety controls — please report it immediately:
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Reports may be made anonymously.
06. Enforcement & Consequences
Violations of this AUP may result in the following actions at RelayForge's sole discretion:
| Violation Type | Severity | Consequence |
|---|
| Minor policy breach, first offense | Warning | Written warning; remediation required |
| Repeated minor violations or misuse of platform | Moderate | Temporary suspension; possible rate limiting |
| Fraudulent Clawmark submission or credential misuse | Severe | Immediate decertification; account termination; public ARIA notice |
| Use of platform to bypass safety controls or harm persons | Critical | Immediate termination; no refund; potential regulatory referral |
| Illegal activity | Critical | Immediate termination; cooperation with law enforcement |
RelayForge reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and may suspend access during investigation to protect the platform and its users. We will attempt to notify you of enforcement actions except where doing so would compromise an investigation or is prohibited by law.
Good faith. We're a small team that built this because we care about industrial safety and responsible AI. If you made an honest mistake, reach out. We'd rather fix it with you than terminate your account.
07. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email and posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
